52 Project – Song Titles

The assignment for week 14 of the 52 Project is Song Titles. The idea was to pick a song title and then take your images to represent that title. I brainstormed a few ideas, but then realized I was over thinking this task. Instead of picking a song title, why not just pick a dog with a name that is a song title. Layla, our friend’s feisty 6-year-old Standard Schnauzer, fit the bill and was a mostly willing model. I’m sure she would have been happier to see me if I brought her boyfriend, Blue, with me. We had a fun shoot complete with neighbor watching, bird watching and treat eating.

Layla by Eric Clapton

What’ll you do when you get lonely
And nobody’s waiting by your side?
You’ve been running and hiding much too long.
You know it’s just your foolish pride.

Layla, you’ve got me on my knees.
Layla, I’m begging, darling please.
Layla, darling won’t you ease my worried mind.

I tried to give you consolation
When your old man had let you down.
Like a fool, I fell in love with you,
Turned my whole world upside down.

Let’s make the best of the situation
Before I finally go insane.
Please don’t say we’ll never find a way
And tell me all my love’s in vain.

If you are ever in need of a fantastic baker in Franklin, TN, Layla’s owner, Angie should be your first call. Her baked goods from Sweet Natured Treats are drool worthy. Take a look at some of her creations on her blog, Angie’s Sweet Natured Treats.

Now sit back, relax and see what songs were playing on other 52 Project blogs this week. Start with Indianapolis Pet Photographer Tiffany Haulton and continue around the circle until you get back to Layla. See you next week!

  2. Kelly, these are great! You must have said “kitty” about a million times to get her to look at the camera 😉 Thanks for the shout out for Sweet Natured Treats!

Angie – I wore out kitty. It got to where I was just making noises so it’s possible one of your neighbors thinks I am insane as I was laying in your front yard making noises at Layla while they were walking by. It happens.
